Ninell Sobiecka Takes Charge as CEO of L’Oréal Italy

Rome, Italy

L’Oréal has made a pivotal strategic announcement, appointing Ninell Sobiecka as the new Chief Executive Officer of its Italian subsidiary, effective January 1, 2024.

Sobiecka, who has been the General Manager of L’Oréal Russia since January 2023, will be taking over the reins from Emmanuel Goulin, who has been promoted to head the global travel retail operations for L’Oréal.

Sobiecka, originally from Poland, brings a wealth of experience to her new role, with a career spanning significant positions at PepsiCo, Danone, and Henkel before her tenure at L’Oréal started in 2005.

She initially served as the Marketing Director for Vichy in Switzerland, laying the groundwork for her future with the company.

Her ascent continued as she took on the role of Vice President of the dermo-cosmetic beauty division for the Asia-Pacific, making a notable impact on the brand’s development.

Her subsequent role as the General Manager for L’Oréal Russia was a testament to her leadership abilities and her strategic approach to the beauty market.

“Ninell Sobiecka is known for being a modern, perceptive, and strategic leader, with a keen focus on personal development. I am certain that she will adapt swiftly to the Italian cultural setting and will play a significant role in further modernizing L’Oréal Italy.” Vianney Derville, President of L’Oréal’s European zone

This leadership change comes at a crucial time when L’Oréal Italy is poised to enhance its innovation and modernization efforts, seeking to stay ahead in a dynamic consumer market.

The Italian branch has already shown promise with a revenue increase of 4.5% in the third quarter of 2023, suggesting a positive trajectory that Sobiecka is expected to continue.

With the industry’s eyes on her, Ninell Sobiecka’s appointment as the CEO of L’Oréal Italy symbolizes not just her commendable journey within the company but also signifies the forward-thinking direction in which L’Oréal aims to head.

Under Sobiecka’s leadership, the forecast for L’Oréal Italy is undoubtedly one of growth and innovation.
